Engage in Being

07/02/07 Kent Ridge - another warm, lunch-time walk Engaging in Being

Watching the world unfold before us as we move through our daily machinations can have a binding and confining effect on us if we are not alert and fully aware in each moment. The physical world – the world of form – and the personalities and egos that we encounter in our daily lives, if not put into perspective – the quantum and holistic perspective – will sweep us away in the momentum of their delusional pull. We are in this world and we are of this world, but we are also part of everything everywhere, and nowhere, and, therefore, in and of all things and non-things.

All things and non-things, in the quantum context, are fields of energy in a vast field of energy and are therefore connected and have influence and bearing on each other and the whole. So, as we maneuver through our daily lives, impacted and influenced by things, people and places, we cannot allow ourselves to be impacted negatively or, should I say, let their impact be perceived and experienced negatively. Life, the universe, things, reality, non-things, parallel universes and realities (if they do in fact exist) merely ARE. It is truly a matter of the is-ness of being, just being, just letting the world/universe/reality(whatever) flow, doing what we can to positively contribute to that flow and the evolution of being, but, ultimately, flow and let flow as we engage in being.

Renewal and Personal Evolution

30/01/07 Kent Ridge - Lunch Time in thought after a warm walk...

We, as humans, must keep foremost in our minds the true nature of being. Quantum physics teaches us that the Physical world is not physical, or solid, at all. Everything , including and especially consciousness, is energy. So we must extrapolate that into a realization of being that transcends form, for that which we know as form is, in fact, always being renewed, always changing, shifting, evolving and renewing. We, then, are always in a state of renewal; hence we are capable of transformation, of personal evolution within our life times. All we have to do is break free of our patterns. We must break free of the state of mind that binds our consciousness to narrow confines.

The Rhythms of the Universe

The Rhythms of the Universe - of existence (and non-existence) as a whole - are always a matter of finding that alignment within us to bring ourselves into accord with what is good, meaningful and right in the context of our lives and the times/era and society we are apart of (in these days it is becoming increasingly more a global society, so the distinctions begin to blur more and more regarding what one culture believes to be good or bad as opposed to what another culture might believe them to be).

The light of energies that swirl through us, in us and around us is the light, the energy, that IS us - we are it and it is us.

The Question

I wrote "The Question" six years ago (below). It is interesting to see where life has taken me, or, should I say, I have taken my life, since then.

........................................................................................................................................................................

A question looms large in my mind, a question my heart and soul already know the answer to and must now convince my mind of. This question is the question of a lifetime. It is the question I must answer from somewhere deep within.

Shall I go Or shall I stay?

Shall I go and pursue my destiny, or shall I stay to walk the path that leads only to the accumulation of years and “things”? This is the question.

Shall I go?

It is a heady question. It is a question that tugs at my heart. Yet it is a question whose answer is already known to me at the deepest level of my being.

I must go.

I must walk the earth in search of the divine within myself, within the peoples of the earth, and within the earth and universe itself.

I shall go.

A caged animal knows no greater sorrow than that experienced each moment it spends in captivity. It is this sorrow that brings me to such painful depths within myself as transcends the telling; it is a sorrow that bruises the soul with its relentless assault on the very nature of my being.

When one is descended of Vikings and explorers, one must follow his heart into the world or forever be the caged lion. When a heart and soul are big and expansive, to be caged in a life of sedentary mediocrity and mundane routine bleeds that heart and soul until it becomes a lifeless shell housing a wayward being.

I shall go, because I have to go. It is my calling.

Spike has Moved Blogs

I am moving my Blog from Eponym to Blogger due to changes at Eponym. I will be writing more frequently as things begin to settle down in my life. I hope I can share some useful insights with whoever is out there.

See you all soon.
